Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry Department Completion

The project is a work of completion of a large complex whose just the envelope was completed between 1988 and 1995. Echoing the functional and spatial concept of the complex, all the design, distributive and managerial criteria are analyzed and verified to redefine the system and functional and permanent work structure. The work concerns on the re-articulation of  interior arrangement of specific spaces and on the re-definition of the whole layout. The attention to the finishings and the building components, the redefinition of the details and the partial redesign of the openings give to the complex a distinctive identity and ensure that  the completion intervention is a recognizable mark on the entire work. Systems planning becomes an essential element especially compared to the need to ensure a safe environment in front of specific activities as chemistry labs. The intervention provides the laboratory machinery equipment  with  the cooling systems, the thermostats systems, switching off automatic gas systems, extract air control system for the experimentation phase. Completion requirements development, compared to the intended use and the functional and facility specifics, even dimensional, of the building,  had to face and solve many specific planning , regulation and built problems, highly complex. A type of  architecture with a “different” life and where each specific attention aims to turn a rigid body into a complex body which looks alive.
