The area is characterized by a trapezoidal lot. The distributive setting favors the site’s design and creates an inner courtyard with representative function and public space. The architecture reflects the military function and use of building that is intended to accommodate Control’s operational and administrative areas and residences. Severe fronts, characterized by clean and minimal openings, wrap a structure that combines military court typology and buildings’ administrative-directional distribution. The access to the inner courtyard and to the whole complex is an atrium, a glass structure rotated to the building’s axis. The main front is closed on top floor by the dormitories’ volume that, with a vaulted roof copper coating covered and a visible pillar system, helps to limit the façade’s formal rigor. On the main front, a stairway introduces the building’s entrance which is located approximately 150 cm above the roadway floor.
