Polyfunctional Gym In Vignola

The project stems from a depth-analysis of the client, within the limits set by the conformation of the land and its planning instruments bearing on the interesting area. The project aims to create an articulated volume able to fit in the surrounding environment, in the morphology and in the functional spaces, to realize a complex entity able to combine design requirements regarding reliability and flexibility, environmental sustainability for  energy saving, as well as a qualified  service delivery to the community and able to find a dialogue with the local history through architectural and cultural references. The space dedicated to sports activities allows to host basketball and volleyball (championship courses) competiton, or two separate mini-basketball and volleyball courts separated by a movable curtain. Two separate entrances, one for public and for athletes the other, provide the highest functionality and the easy maintenance of the gym. Moreover outdoor space is designed to be the gym extension by creating a track for the long jump and a beach volley court and wooded areas for relaxation.
